Product Manager

About The Role

SMG3 has experienced constant growth since our inception. SMG3 is proud to offer innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.  The last few years have shown a level of growth that now requires us to bring in a product manager to improve our customer experience and grow our market share.  The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for gaps in our product offering and an innovative mindset for filling them. To be considered for this position, you must be a strong leader with a proven history of guiding cross-functional teams in the creation of MSP offerings that will improve our customer experience. You must also be an excellent communicator who can work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product and business planning processes
• Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI perspective
• Asses current competitor offerings and look for opportunities for differentiation
• Analyze product requirements and develop programs to ensure they are met
• Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
• Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans
• Mentor and inspire employees to help bring forth the vision of management
• Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on departments and progress to executive team
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Candidate Requirements

• Strong experience in product management role specific to an MSP solution
• Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
• Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public-speaking skills
• Strong attention to detail, deadline, and process guidelines
• Effective problem solving
• Willingness to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
• Experience with Salesforce.com, as a user, is a plus
• At least five years of product management experience required
• In-depth understanding of SMG3’s industry
• Must pass a background check
